My Two Favorites From Benjamin Moore 2020 Color Palette

From Benjamin Moore’s color palette of 2020…drum roll please!
Crystalline (AF-485) & Cushing Green (HC-125)!
(Originally published February 2020)

If you haven’t yet seen the Benjamin Moore 2020 color palette, you are missing out!

The two greens featured on the Benjamin Moore Color Trends board for 2020 coordinate well with gray, white, beige, blues, and pinks. This is great news for anyone who still embraces the gray trend, or for those who have migrated toward other warmer neutrals. See my blog article, Is Gray Passe?

Blues and greens dominate Benjamin Moore’s 2020 color palette; six of the ten colors are shades of blue or green. Likewise, blues and greens feature prominently in retail catalogs including Ballard Design, Serena & Lily, and Frontgate. Shades range from pastel to bold, and each color projects serenity and peace. If you like blues and greens in particular, you will find this palette to be as close to perfect as you can get!

Beautiful palette! From Benjaminmoore.pl

I am enthusiastic about this evolving color trend!

Crystalline and Cushing Green bring cool sophistication to a soothing palette that complements the popular modern farmhouse style, as well as the coastal trend that I am seeing a lot of in my area. Transitional, traditional, and modern styles can also utilize these shades, either as the dominant color or as an accent to a more basic foundation. Since the palette features muted tones, the colors would work equally well in a rustic theme or in a beach house.

My two favorite colors from the palette are Cushing Green and Crystalline. Greens evoke feelings of nature and connectedness, and they have a calming effect. I am really liking green paints because green bridges the inevitable transition from grays toward warmer neutral hues. Although I dread moving away from grays and cool colors that have become so comfortable, I know it’s inevitable. But this color palette should make the transition easier!

If you’re looking for a way to ease into warmer colors, these two shades from Benjamin Moore do not disappoint. See their YouTube video for inspiration!
